Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

 

12th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run

DATE: Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 (Thanksgiving Day!) at 9:00am (must sign-up by Nov 7 to be guaranteed a t-shirt but all who register will receive a finishers medal).

*ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER AND WEAR A BIB TO RUN AND RECEIVE A MEDAL*

The Fun:

Join the Fleet Feet Sports crew as we host the 12th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot . The run is a gorgeous tour of downtown Annapolis and will benefit Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake. This event is not officially timed, but we will have a finisher's clock at the end of the run.

Once again we will award a prize for the best turkey costume.  Are you ready to get creative? 

Strollers, kids, and dogs are welcome to join in the fun! 


The Course:

Our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will take place throughout downtown Annapolis. The run will take place on the sidewalks, but traffic will be at a minimum. The run will start and finish at Fleet Feet Annapolis' original location at 318 6th Street in Eastport (currently Homes for America). FREE parking is available along the streets in Eastport and downtown. PLEASE plan to carpool as best you can.

Port-o-potties will be available in the parking lot, along with expanded water comfort stations pre and post run. Also - Marty's famous homemade pumpkin bread, Naval Bagels and refreshments will be provided post-run.

As in previous years, we will be separate the run into three groups for crowd control on the route.

  • 9:00am - Group 1: 8:30/min mile or faster
  • 9:03am - Group 2: 8:30/min mile - 10:00/min mile
  • 9:06am - Group 3: 10:00/min mile or slower. (Best for strollers/dogs.)

Registration is $35 with a t-shirt or $20 without a t-shirt. Children 12 and under are free (no t-shirt) or $15.00 with a t-shirt. T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register online by 11:59 PM on November 7. A limited number of t-shirts will be available for $15 at packet pick-up and on the day of the run. All regsitrations must be done online. Same day shirt and bib pick-up will be available but lines will be very long so we highly encourage everyone to grab them at packet pick-up Nov 16-21 during regular store hours. We will have medals this year for all participants but you must register and be wearing a bib to receive a medal at the finish.

T-Shirt and Packet Pick Up:

In order to avoid long lines on the day of the run, we offer a convenient t-shirt and bib pick up in the store November 16-21 during regular store hours. We are located at 2572 Solomon's Island Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401 in the Annapolis Harbour Center shopping center. We highly recommend you use this option. The t-shirt line can get super crazy on Thanksgiving morning! *Packets can be picked-up by friends or family*
