13th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run

The Fun:

Join the Fleet Feet Sports crew as we host the 13th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot . The run is a gorgeous tour of downtown Annapolis and will benefit Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake and the Annapolis Police Foundation This event is not officially timed, but we will have a finisher's clock at the end of the run. 

Once again we will award several prizes for the best turkey costumes.  Are you ready to get creative? 

Strollers, kids, and dogs are welcome to join in the fun! 

The Course:

Our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will take place throughout downtown Annapolis. The run will start and finish at Fleet Feet Annapolis' original location at 318 6th Street in Eastport (currently Homes for America). FREE parking is available along the streets in Eastport and downtown. PLEASE plan to carpool as best you can.

Port-o-potties will be available in the parking lot, along with expanded water comfort stations pre and post run. Also - Marty's famous homemade pumpkin bread, Naval Bagels and refreshments will be provided post-run.

As in previous years, we will be separate the run into three groups for crowd control on the route.

  • 9:00am - Group 1: 8:30/min mile or faster

  • 9:03am - Group 2: 8:30/min mile - 10:00/min mile

  • 9:06am - Group 3: 10:00/min mile or slower. (Best for strollers/dogs.)

COST BEFORE DAY OF RUN: Registration is $35 for adults and children 14 and over (includes a t-shirt and medal: this option only available for registrations completed by 11:59 pm on November 12). Participants 14 and over with medal (no shirt) is $25.00 . Children 13 and under are $10.00 (includes a medal). Prior to 11:59 pm on November 12, children 13 and under wanting a t-shirt AND medal can register for $20. Infants and young children in strollers are free (without t-shirt or medal). Dogs are free and will receive a yummy finishers treat!

COST ON NOV 28 (DAY OF RUN): Registration is $40 for adults and children 14 and over (with medal). Children 13 and under are $15 (with a medal), infants and toddlers are free (without a medal).

***T-shirts are only guaranteed now through 11:59 pm on November 12. After that time, a limited number of shirts will be available for purchase for $15.00 at packet pick-up and the day of the run (while supplies last)***

Online registration will close at 11:59 pm on November 21. After that time, registration will be available at Fleet Feet Annapolis through close of business on November 27. Same day registration will be available but lines will be very long. We strongly encourage everyone to register ahead of time. Participants must be registered and wearing a bib to receive a medal at the finish and partake in pumpkin bread and bagels. Once registered, no refunds will be available, even in the event of inclement weather. 

T-Shirt and Packet Pick Up:

In order to avoid long lines on the day of the run, we offer a convenient t-shirt and bib pick up in the store November 23-27 during regular store hours. We are located at 2572 Solomon's Island Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401 in the Annapolis Harbour Center shopping center. We highly recommend you use this option. Packets can be picked-up by friends or family with proof of registration.
