Join us Sunday, June 30th at 8:30AM for an Interactive Open Water Swim Clinic with Coach Todd Lawless and Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis!
This is the fifth clinic in our “Introduction to the Sport of Triathlon” Clinic Series – and this time, we’ll be focusing on getting you comfortable with Open Water Swimming!
There will be multiple coaches on hand to swim with those who are brand new to open water swimming, as well as those who are good at swimming in open water and want more experience.
Topics Will Include:
- Strategies for the swim start
- Sighting and spotting buoys
- Strategies when things get tough
Location: We will be utilizing the beach access in Eastport where Horn Point Drive and Chesapeake Avenue meet. You Can park along Horn Point Drive, Chesapeake Ave, or park at Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis and walk to the beach access point.
- Swim cap (preferably bright colors!)
- Wetsuit (if you have one)
- Body Glide
- The triathlon suit you plan to wear during your race
If you are still unfamiliar with what to wear, or do not own triathlon shorts or a top, we have awesome triathlon suits you can swim, bike and run in at Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis by Sugoi. Come in the shop to ask us more about it!
