That's right! We're pushing aside our fitting benches and turning the store into a makeshift Yoga studio! Join us Saturday, September 6th for a Yoga class specifically tailored to runners and walkers alike!
Although running and walking are great cardiovascular work, both can lead to imbalances in the body because they are linear movements. Our Yoga for Runners class will include lengthening and stretching specific for the IT band and hips, and will include teachings in proper breathing control and balance.
Our instructor, Kara Volpe is the Manager at Charm City Yoga in Federal Hill. Charm City Yoga offers a variety of yoga styles from the most gentle and restorative class to the most intense, kick-your-butt hot yoga. The studio is very welcoming and encouraging to beginners, athletes, and advanced practitioners. By offering free yoga around the city and joining community events, they hope to bring yoga to everyone at every level!
This class will happen just after our store group run at 8:00am. You can attend both events, or just our Yoga class. If you are planning to attend just the Yoga class, please bring your own mat and show up 5 minutes early so that you will be prepared to start at 8:30am.
Fleet Feet Sports is now carrying Manduka Yoga mats and accessories! You'll have the opportunity to check out these high quality mats while you're in the shop!
