Informational Session for the Running 101 Training Program Print

Are you a non-runner, or beginning runner, who would like to become more active, increase your energy level and boost your self-confidence?   Then this is the program for you!  Running 101 is an 11 week program that culminates in a local 5K (3.1 mile) race.  This program is for Runners and Run/Walkers and is based on a progressive schedule of both running and walking.  Participants should be able to walk at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes non-stop.  We meet as a group 2 evenings a week and welcome training group members to join us on Saturday mornings for our regular "group" runs.  For more information please attend one of our Informational Meetings on Monday, August 18th or Wednesday, August 20th at 7:30pm.  The program begins on Monday, August 25th at 6:30pm. 
Target Race:  Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run 5K in Glen Burnie, MD on November 11th.
Cost:  $80
