The 15th Annual Annapolis Arthritis Walk is Saturday morning, May 17th, at Quiet Waters Park. The theme of this year's walk is "kids get arthritis (and dogs too!)" Park admission to the walk is free. The walk is comprised of 3 different levels - 1K, 3K, and 5K. Registration starts at 8:00 am, the walk at 9:00am, and festivities till Noon. Stage entertainment includes WNAV radio (Bill Lusby), a magician (Jack Julius) and the Sweet Adelaines Signers. For the kids there are arts & craft tables and the Bowie Baysox "Louie." Family pet dogs are welcome, to include best-dressed-pet and owner/pet look-alike awards. Register in advance by calling 410.544.5433, or online at www.arthritiswalkannapolismd.kintera.org. There is no charge to register for the walk, but donations to the Arthritis Foundation Southern Maryland Branch are welcome. Consider requesting to join Team 21403 when registering, i.e., this is the Eastport team. All walk proceeds and donations will provide funds to the Arthritis Foundation for research and education to improve the lives of 46 million Americans, including 300,000 children, living with arthritis. |
